In the logistics and workforce planning stream we focus on the use of OR and related disciplines to optimally meet demand for people, equipment, transport, storage and materials handling. This spans operations management through to strategic planning. We welcome presentations on topics including: network design and analysis to enable efficient freight; the use of optimisation and analytics to improve warehousing and distribution; methods for predicting demand or addressing demand uncertainty in optimisation models; fleet management, inventory optimisation, cost-benefit analysis for adopting emerging logistics technologies, demand-responsive staff rostering; strategic workforce planning; logistics performance evaluation; selecting transport options and materials-handling resources in supply chains.
